About VR After Hours

VR After Hours covers adult VR games and nothing else: what runs on which headset, what it takes to set up, what breaks after an update and how to fix it.

We started it because the answers were scattered across forums, Discord servers and store pages that disappear every time a payment processor changes its rules. One page per game, kept current, seemed more useful.

Who runs it

Alex R. runs and edits VR After Hours. In his own words:

My first contact with VR came before there were any headsets to buy. I watched Brainstorm, Douglas Trumbull's 1983 film about a machine that records experiences and plays them back, and I was stunned. My conclusion was simple: this will never happen in my lifetime. I was wrong, of course. My first real headset was an Oculus Rift CV1, and from there it snowballed :)

I see today's VR games as an in-between stage. We are still building the knowledge, the hardware and the materials. What comes next will be hard to imagine from where we stand now, and I hope to be around to enjoy it. Until then, this site is where I keep what I learn along the way: which games run on what, how to set them up and what to do when they break.

Pages are drafted with the help of AI tools and then checked and edited by Alex against the sources each page links to: publisher and store pages, studio notes and changelogs, and player reports. Nobody on the site claims to have played a game unless the page says so. When a source changes, the page changes; when we get something wrong, it goes on the corrections page.
