A dance, and nothing more

Faye's New Routine is the least ambitious title in the Faye set, and it does not pretend otherwise once you read the developer. Faye has been practising a new dance; you start the music, pick what she wears from the costume menu and watch. RockHardVR's own comment calls it an MMD-style, watch-only dance meant for relaxed viewing, after the Japanese dance-animation tradition the style comes from.

The description says otherwise

Here is the catch. The text on the page promises that hand tracking on a Quest lets you match her rhythm, and it mentions Jana, a character from a different RockHardVR game. That reads like a paragraph carried over from another listing. We trust the developer's description over the template: expect to watch, not to play.

What there is to adjust

The settings are about the show. Besides outfits, there is a slider for breast size and physics, and a Symmetry option the studio added after release; asymmetrical movement is on by default. Eye contact can be switched on or off. Auto Repeat, added in a 2021 patch, loops the routine until you stop it.

The same patch improved frame rate by about 15%, and the studio says Quest and Quest 2 owners get close to full frame rate when Faye is undressed, a reminder that clothing physics is the heavy part of these scenes on mobile hardware.

Headsets

The page lists the original Quest, the Quest 2 and the Oculus Go, with PC headsets, Daydream and even Cardboard as may-work options. The Quest 3 and Pico 4 are not mentioned. Newer Faye titles name the Quest 3, and the studio has patched its hand-tracked series for it, but this dance is not part of that series, so treat Quest 3 support as unconfirmed.

A few minutes of music and movement, fine for what it is and easy to run. If you want a dance with more to do, Idol Playroom is the studio's bigger take on the idea, and Getting Down With Maya is this game's twin with a different character.
