The first XPlayVR scene

XPlayVR now has three titles on VRPorn.com, and Watch and Play is where the formula appeared. Octavia Red suggests you watch some adult scenes together. Then she either recreates what you watched or follows your lead. The premise does a neat job of explaining the mechanic: there is a television in the room, and what is on it shapes what happens next.

How you steer it

The footage is real-performer video, 180° and 3D, in the side-by-side fisheye format VR video players use. You are not walking around anyone; you sit where the camera was. The interaction sits on top. In VR, hand tracking handles it, and a TV remote sits in the scene, and aiming at it and clicking flips the channel. Find something on screen that interests you, centre your view on the TV, and a new event begins.

That is less than a game and more than a video, which is exactly the space XPlayVR has chosen. Two months later Paused for Pleasure reused the remote, and Channeling Her Inner Star followed a month after that.

Where it runs

The page says VR mode needs a Meta Quest and names no other headset. It streams in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Without a headset you can play on a PC or a phone using on-screen controls, a handy way to check access before a session.

What we could not confirm

The page does not state the number of scenes, the running time or the video resolution. The file name points to 4K, while the preview metadata is far lower, and the 91-second preview is clearly not the whole thing. Access is not spelled out either; the Stream button leads to a log-in, and one commenter says the scene used to be on Premium and has come back.
