The pocket trick

Most adult VR games stop at your hands. ComeCloser wants your whole body involved, and its solution is clever and low-tech: put a VR controller in your pocket, calibrate it, and the game uses it to follow your body as well as your hands. Around that sit handcrafted characters, hair and clothing moved by a physics engine, and what the page calls AI-driven facial and body behaviour. It is the most physical idea in this part of the catalogue.

SteamVR, and only SteamVR

An account answering for the game was unusually clear in the comments. It is SteamVR-only and runs on any PC VR headset. Every Quest model works, through a PC. A Quest version does exist, but it is distributed through the developer's Patreon, not VRPorn.com. And it is demanding: higher quality than the browser games on the site, and in need of more computing power. A regular player put the setup in one line: it is a PC VR game you launch with SteamVR already running. No hardware specification is published, so judge by that warning.

One player whose download kept showing a download button instead of a play button got no public fix; a reinstall with SteamVR open is the obvious first try.

Where is the update?

The Premium page lists build 0.20.0. The most persistent question in the thread is what happened next. Players have asked about updates for over a year, most recently five months ago, with one calling the game nice but stalled. Nobody from the project answered those questions on the page. We would treat the current build as what you get.

Our read

If you have a strong PC and want to try body-level interaction without buying trackers, ComeCloser is the one title on Premium that attempts it. Expect an early build that may not change soon.
