- The Studio DLC adds a virtual camera and lighting rig, an interactive Lady Euphoria, backdrops, props, dozens of static scans and new animations. The Studio + Scans DLC adds eight full-body scans and 24 detailed close-up scans on top.
- Do the DLCs work on their own?
- No. Both need Holodexxx Home with episodes 1 and 2 installed; the DLC goes on top of the base game.
- I can't click anything on my Quest. What helps?
- Players suggest holding X on the left controller for a laser pointer, getting close to the object and using the in-game watch, and clicking the joystick to cancel an accidental teleport.
- Who is Lady Euphoria?
- The studio's first Holodexxx 2.0 model, built from photogrammetry scans of Marley Brinx, with motion-captured body animation and a professional voice actress.
- Can I play it on a Quest over Virtual Desktop?
- It may not work well. Several Quest 2 owners found the triggers did not register over Virtual Desktop, and the developer says a Link cable is required for proper controller handling.
- I bought Home on VRPorn. Will the itch.io DLC work with it?
- Yes. The developer says the DLC works regardless of where you bought the base build.
- How do I install Episode 2 by hand?
- Unzip Episode 1, put the Episode 2 .pak file in a folder named hdx-home-ep2 next to it and start HDX.exe from the Episode 1 folder. The itch.io app does this for you, and manual installs must be updated by hand.

A home, not a club
Before The Club, Holodexxx built a flat. Holodexxx Home puts you in a cyberpunk condo with Lady Euphoria, the first character from what the studio calls Holodexxx 2.0: photogrammetry scans of Marley Brinx, body animation from motion capture, facial animation driven by a chatbot system and dialogue recorded by a professional voice actress. Episodes 1 and 2 are the studio's first interactive story, and the Premium page promises more in a 1.5 update.
Episode 2 is where the toys come out. There is a customisation room for clothes and appearance, a first version of what the studio calls Real Touch, touchable skin with a basic physical interaction system, a video theatre that streams clips or plays your own files on a large screen, and the studio's first interactive sex toys.
What a careful player found
The most useful comment on the page is a long one from about three years ago. Episode 1 is a good introduction, it says, and episode 2's customisation and media room are welcome. But episode 2 crashed often, the bed scene cycles through five built-in videos instead of your own, and the media room has no bed and no way to bring Euphoria in. The player also asked about audio files in the install that never seem to play. Nobody from the studio replied on VRPorn.com; on itch.io the developer answered many questions until about 2024, and other players are still asking whether episode 3 is coming. The DLCs: a photo studio
Two add-ons sit on top of the base game, and both need episodes 1 and 2 installed. The Studio DLC is a virtual camera and lighting rig with physical controls for VR and 2D, an interactive Euphoria, a customisable backdrop, props, dozens of static scans and new animations: set the scene, light it, take the picture. The Studio + Scans DLC adds eight more full-body scans and 24 detailed close-up scans. One player who extracted the files into the game folder found the Photo Studio still greyed out; the advice was a reinstall.
Controls on a Quest
The game targets PC headsets, the Index, Vive, Rift and Windows Mixed Reality, plus keyboard and mouse. Quest owners stream it from a PC, and the developer is specific about how: a Link cable, because over Virtual Desktop several players found the triggers did nothing. That is also where most complaints gather. Pointing and clicking is inconsistent. Fixes from other players: hold X on the left controller for a laser pointer, move close to the object and use the in-game watch, and click the joystick if you have teleported by accident. A Quest 3 owner reported no sound, and a Reverb G2 owner could not point and click. Mac users are out of luck: the files are Windows only.
Our read
Holodexxx Home is a piece of studio history more than a finished game. Play it to see the scans, and spend your time in the Studio DLC if you like composing scenes. What reviewers and players report
Episode 1 works as an introduction and episode 2 adds customisation and a media room, but episode 2 crashed often, the bed scene plays only five built-in videos, and the media room has no way to call Euphoria over.

Known problems and how to get past them
- Holodexxx crashes on launch, and the Riley Reid Sneak Peek closes after a second on Windows 11A Holodexxx game that dies at launch rarely says why. The window flashes, Task Manager shows the process for a second, and you are back on the desktop. Four causes. You can fix three.
- Is VRPorn Premium worth it for the games? Only if you know which kind of listing you are paying forPremium is sold on VRPorn.com mostly as a video subscription, with "Premium VR Games" as one line on each plan card. Behind that line sit four different kinds of listing, and just one of them matches what most people imagine when they pay. Sorting them out is the quickest way to decide whether the games alone justify the price.
