Quick answers

How do I move in Love Vibe: Aria?
A player on the page says to press the left joystick down. It needs SteamVR running.
It only shows on my monitor. What is wrong?
Launch it through SteamVR rather than Meta's PC app; the game requires SteamVR.
Does it work on a Quest 3?
Through a PC with SteamVR, but one Quest 3 owner found most controls unresponsive.

Our read, before we play it

A small, dated piece from a one-game studio, liked for its art style and let down by controls built for older headsets.

Worth it if

  • You like a stylised, cartoon look in the vein of Fallen Doll
  • You have a Rift, Vive or WMR headset it was made for
  • You want a short dance and bedroom scene, nothing more

Skip it if

  • You play on a Quest 3: a player says most buttons do not respond
  • You expect updates: players believe it was never updated
  • You want a long game

A girlfriend from 2019

Love Vibe: Aria is the only title from Red Vibe Studio, and the page files date it to around May 2019. The premise is short and sweet: you spend an evening with Aria, a virtual girlfriend, who dances for you before the two of you move to the bedroom. The page promises a character with facial expressions and voice acting, an interactive body, a variety of poses and outfits you can change. The art is cartoon-style rather than realistic, which is the thing players like most; one compared it to Fallen Doll.

Made for older headsets

The listed hardware is the HTC Vive, the original Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality, and SteamVR is required. That shows when you bring a modern headset. A Quest 3 owner found most buttons unresponsive and concluded the game was built for an older device and never updated. Another launched it through Meta's own PC app and saw it only on the monitor before it froze; the fix there is to start it through SteamVR.

A regular on the thread who tested it reported that it worked, and offered the tip most people need: press the left joystick down to move.

Our read

A modest, charming relic. If you own one of the headsets it was made for, or have patience with SteamVR on a Quest, it is a short evening on Premium at no extra cost. If you want this cartoon style with more to do, RockHardVR's browser games, starting with House Call Succubus, run on a Quest without any of this setup. The SteamVR route from a Quest is set out step by step in our PC VR streaming guide.

What reviewers and players report

  • Most controls do not work and only a few buttons respond; the game seems built for an older headset and never updated.

    — A Quest 3 owner, 2024

  • It worked fine in a test; it needs SteamVR, and you press the left joystick down to move.

    — A helper on the thread, 2024

  • Launched through Meta's PC app with a Quest connected, it showed only on the monitor and froze.
