RockHardVR's twenty browser games: which to play first, how the hand controls work, and comics versus scenes
RockHardVR is the studio most Premium members meet first without noticing the name. Twenty of the browser titles in VRPorn.com's games section are its work, they all look alike in the listing, and they are not alike at all. Some you play with your hands, some you watch like a comic, a few you build yourself.

The short answer
For hand-driven play, start with Rising Up With Faye: it lists the Quest 3, carries the studio's Quest 3 patch and teaches the controls. For watching, Stuck! Fire Alarm Panic: it is an animated VR comic that players single out for its humour. For building scenes yourself, Dream Playroom. Give the hand controls three to seven strokes to calibrate, use the Posture buttons to change positions, and on a Quest 3 open the menu with the side button.
One studio, four kinds of game
RockHardVR's page on VRPorn.com lists twenty titles and describes the studio as making browser VR games for every mainstream headset. It links to no website of its own. Read the titles in order and a history appears: most arrived around 2021, the Succubus games, House Call Succubus and The Aida Collection a year later, Dream Playroom and Idol Playroom around 2023, and one newer title last year.
The listing gives no hint that these are different kinds of thing. They are. Sort the twenty titles by what you actually do in them and there are four.
- Hand-driven scenes. Rising Up With Faye, both Succubus' Helping Hand games, Aida's Secret Therapy, Bree's First Class Service, Candy's Fitness Fun, Maya's Library Rendezvous, The Aida Collection. You set the pace.
- Animated VR comics. Faye's Elevated Overtime, House Call Succubus and its sequel, Late Night Affair At The Office, Stuck! Fire Alarm Panic. You mostly watch.
- Dances. Faye's New Routine, Getting Down With Maya, Grooving with Aida, and Idol Playroom, which turns the idea into a small sandbox. Pick music and outfit, then sit back.
- Builders and oddities. Dream Playroom for posing your own scenes, and VR Ero-Beat, a rhythm game.
Picking the wrong kind first is the most common way to decide the whole studio is not for you. A player who wanted a story and landed in a hand-driven scene, or wanted control and got a dance, has learned nothing about the other three.
The hand controls, explained once
The studio's hand-driven titles share one control scheme, described most fully on A Succubus' Helping Hand. With hand tracking on a Quest, the motion of your hand in front of the headset drives the scene. Two sliders tune it, one for speed (Insertion Rate) and one for timing (Insertion Threshold). Posture buttons in the menu switch positions. The finale comes from a hand gesture, so you never need to reach for a menu at the wrong moment.
The detail that trips newcomers is calibration. Until it has seen a handful of your movements, somewhere between three and seven by the studio's count, the pace will feel wrong. Judge it after that, not before.
If tracking is unreliable, or you are on a headset without it, Hand Mode lets a controller stand in: close your fist around it and mimic the motion. Rising Up With Faye added this for players whose hand tracking works poorly.
On a Quest 3, two more things apply. The studio patched its hand series so that the menu sits on the side button, and it advises switching off the system's automatic swapping between hands and controllers, which otherwise makes the menu drift and controllers misbehave. Our Quest 3 fix covers both in detail.
Comics are not lesser games
The animated comics get overlooked because nothing in the listing marks them out. House Call Succubus is the template. Dialogue appears in bubbles, which can be turned off; there is a choice of first- or third-person view, a Repeat button that loops the scene, and options to hide anything blocking your view. RockHardVR's own advice is to watch the story through on the first run, then go back for the first-person view and the costume combinations.
The format suits people who find hand-driven play fiddly, or who want a short, scripted piece rather than a toy. It also holds up better on older and lower-powered headsets. The studio's tip for a sharper picture on a Quest 2 is to set resolution to 1.2x in the options, since AR and anti-aliasing can pull it down.
Builders, and where your work is kept
Dream Playroom is the studio's most ambitious browser title, still labelled an alpha. You pose characters, combine them into scenes, customise their look and voices, and save the result. Hand tracking drives it on a Quest, controllers work, and an Auto Mode covers headsets without tracking.
The saves are the catch. They are kept by the browser and belong to the web address the game ran on. When VRPorn.com changed its domain, the studio warned that players' private collections were lost. Wiping the browser's site data has the same effect. Treat saved scenes as temporary until the studio offers an account or an export. On a shared headset that cuts both ways, as our privacy guide explains.
Idol Playroom sits between builder and dance: up to three dancers at once, your own favourites on the playlist, and AR that puts them in your room. RockHardVR recommends it over its older Grooving with Aida, which it calls deprecated.
Our order for a first evening
This is our suggestion, drawn from the pages and the studio's own replies rather than from playing them ourselves, which we have not done yet.
If you want to play, start with Rising Up With Faye, learn the controls there, then move to A Succubus' Helping Hand, the purest form of the idea, and Maya's Library Rendezvous for the best-looking setting of the early games. If you want to watch, begin with Stuck! Fire Alarm Panic, the comic players recommend for its jokes, then House Call Succubus. If you want to make something, open Dream Playroom and accept that your work lives in the browser.
Leave the dances for later; they are short, and the Quest 3 is missing from most of their pages. Try VR Ero-Beat whenever you want something closer to an actual game.
Where RockHardVR could do better
RockHardVR answers more questions in its comments than any studio on VRPorn.com, and it has patched old games for new headsets when it did not have to. The weakness is that the answers stay buried. A one-line label on each page, saying which of the four kinds a title is and whether it carries the Quest 3 patch, would save new players most of their first evening. So would a way to keep saved scenes that does not depend on a domain name. The full list of the studio's games, with our page on each, is on our RockHardVR page, and our Premium games by headset guide puts them next to everything else that runs on a Quest without a PC.
Quick answers
- Which RockHardVR game should I play first?
- Rising Up With Faye for hand-driven play, Stuck! Fire Alarm Panic for an animated comic, Dream Playroom for building your own scenes. All three play in the Quest Browser.
- How do RockHardVR hand controls work?
- On a Quest with hand tracking, the movement of your hand in front of the headset sets the pace. Calibration takes three to seven strokes, Insertion Rate and Insertion Threshold adjust speed and timing, and a hand gesture triggers the finale.
- Can I play RockHardVR games with controllers?
- Yes. Hand Mode lets you close a fist around the controller and mimic the motion, which also helps when hand tracking is unreliable.
- What is the difference between RockHardVR comics and scenes?
- The comics are fully animated stories with speech bubbles, a Repeat button and first- or third-person views; you mostly watch. The scenes put the pace in your hands.
- Are RockHardVR saves kept if I clear the browser?
- No. Dream Playroom and similar titles save scenes in the browser, tied to the site's address. Clearing browser data, or a domain change, removes them.
- Is Grooving with Aida worth playing?
- RockHardVR itself calls it deprecated and points players to Idol Playroom, which does the same job better.
